Construction Law

Hagan Jenkins Law Group has substantial experience assisting clients in the construction industry from the initial contract negotiation and review stage through the resolution of disputes that may arise over the course of a construction project. We represent general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, homeowners, and business owners in matters unique to the construction industry. We routinely handle issues dealing with commercial construction and with residential construction issues. We have developed a philosophy of efficient dispute resolution with the drive to serve our clients’ best interests. Mary Beth Hagan and Joshua Jenkins are leaders in the construction law community. Mary Beth is the first female to chair the Construction Section of the Tennessee Bar Association and serve on the board of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel. She served on the Division 9 Steering Committee for the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law. Mary Beth and Josh routinely speak on topics of interest to the construction industry.

We can help clients form companies, negotiate and review contracts and loan documents, navigate payment disputes, perfect mechanics’ lien claims, handle construction defect claims, and assert contract claims. We understand the competitive nature of the construction industry, and we apply that same spirit in our representation of clients who want to build, manage, and grow their business in this industry. We have experience in the courtroom, as well as in alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.
